Required Qualifications & Skills:-
- Commerce Graduate (from good college) or MBA with 1-2 years experience in Finance MIS/ FP&A Role, or Fresher CA/ CA with 1 – 2 years experience in Finance MIS/ FP&A Role
- Working knowledge of the financial aspects of a professional services firm along with a good understanding of Financial Accounting as this role will involve coordinating with the Central Finance team
- Strong analytical mindset with technical ability and excellent people skills
- Candidate should have a basic understanding of Financial Accounting
- Skills and attributes for success:
- Should have advanced knowledge and experience of working on MS Excel and Powerpoint
- Should have worked on large databases
- Knowledge of Macros/VBA/Power BI would be a plus
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Smart, confident with strong oral and written communication skills
- Should be able to work under high-pressure situations.
- Should have the ability to quickly turn around the required output/report
- Eye for detail and should be very analytical
- Balance multiple priorities by measuring impact on business, importance and urgency for himself/herself
- Ability to understand new financial aspects/systems and curiosity to learn
Job Description & Responsibilities:-
- Preparing “Gross- Margin” Analysis for the tax service line of E&Y. Reporting revenue & cost movements, and GM trends through various monthly, quarterly and yearly reports;
- Work involves analysis / tracking monthly KPIs / Business Unit performance etc
- Analyze the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), especially those relating to financial metrics such as Gross Margin, Gross
- Margin per partner, Revenue and Cost per FTE, gets
- Preparing ”Affordability to hire” for each cluster/ division of the service line according to their respective current performance and projections by evaluating important KPIs
- Analysis/ Monitoring of business performance metrics (KPIs) to support the decision-making of leadership
- Preparing presentations for Monthly/Quarterly/Half Yearly/Annual Project Performance Reviews with the leadership team
- Assist in preparing and finalising the annual Financial plans, tracking & monitoring the performance
- Assimilate/tap knowledge from various financial information systems to present a more objective-driven ad-hoc report for
- Partners / SMs / ADs / Managers rather than just process-driven output
- Supporting process improvement/automation initiatives within the Finance team
- Develop financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives
