Job Description
- We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join Microsoft Teams, driving innovative solutions for customers, including AI and other key investments. You will be responsible for determining the key metrics that matter for the business and operations and ensure that the organization has a shared understanding of the performance and trends, then generate recommendations to impact the business and strategy through these metrics. You are going to partner closely with data science and product management in helping drive decisions through data in our rhythm of business.
Skills Required:
- 4+ years leveraging passion for and understanding the need to deliver the right business impact by working with stakeholders to turn business problems into data analysis questions and unearthing deep insights from data.
- Experience as a business analyst. Experience working on AI products, or on an online collaboration, video conference, or messaging product is a plus.
- Have a track record of innovative thinking and problem-solving skills using Big Data.
- Have the ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data.
Responsibility
- Develop metrics, design reports, dashboards for rhythm of business support, long-term strategic planning, and increase the team’s agility for self-service insights.
- Identify opportunities to use AI-powered solutions to answer business questions.
- Drive long-term strategic planning by defining key performance indicators, forecasting trends, and developing data-driven frameworks that inform business priorities and investment decisions.
- Monitor key business metrics, proactively flag unexpected metric movements and conduct deep dives to understand underlying root causes.
- Apply a user experience design best practices to ensure data analysis is easily consumable through visualization, presentation, and storytelling.
- Lead discussions interpreting results and connecting them to relevant business context. Provide actionable recommendations to optimize business investments in a way that can be repeated and scaled as needed.
