About the Role:-
- The Senior Data Analyst will be a key member of the Global Index Management & Production Group (IMPG), responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of fundamental and factor score datasets used in index products.
- This role plays a critical part in maintaining trust, transparency, and consistency across data-driven financial indices.
Required Qualifications:-
- Master’s Degree: Finance / Economics / Business / Data Analytics / Statistics / Computer Science
- 2+ years experience in Data Analysis / Financial Data / Analytics
- Knowledge of Financial Statements & Fundamental Data
- Python & SQL skills (preferred)
- Power BI / Data Visualization knowledge (added advantage)
- CFA or advanced finance degree (preferred)
Technical & Analytical Skills:-
- Strong data analysis and reconciliation skills for large datasets
- Experience in data validation and master/reference data alignment
- Python (automation) and SQL (data extraction) – preferred
- Experience with Power BI or similar visualization tools
- Familiarity with APIs and data integration methods is a plus
Soft Skills:-
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving mindset with an analytical approach
Key Responsibilities:-
Operational Data Management
- Perform periodic reviews of fundamental data and factor scores
- Identify and resolve data mismatches across multiple internal and external data sources
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery of fundamental datasets
Data Quality & Issue Resolution
- Investigate discrepancies, missing values, and data anomalies
- Coordinate with internal teams and external data vendors for issue resolution
- Document recurring issues and contribute to long-term remediation strategies
- Apply data quality rules, thresholds, and exception-handling procedures
Documentation & Governance
- Maintain data dictionaries, data lineage, and procedural documentation
- Support audit requirements with clear change logs and approval records
- Ensure compliance with internal data governance policies and regulatory standards
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Work closely with index operations and data launch teams
- Communicate data issues and resolutions clearly with global stakeholders
- Support pipeline fixes, enhancements, and testing activities
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend automation solutions
- Enhance data mastering, validation logic, and workflow controls
- Assist in onboarding and evaluation of new data sources
