About the Role:-
- The Data Analyst will analyze complex datasets and make insights consumable through visual storytelling, dashboards, and reports using tools such as Tableau and PyDash.
- This role is key to supporting operational improvements, business decision-making, and delivering actionable insights across multiple functional areas.
Qualifications:-
- Basic experience in analytics and reporting in a relevant business domain.
- Understanding of CI tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with data automation, coding standards, and reusable modules.
Experience & Skills Required:-
Experience: 1–2 years in analytics delivery within domains like retail, CPG, telecom, or hospitality. Exposure to functional areas such as marketing, supply chain, customer, merchandising, operations, finance, or digital is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of business decision-making processes.
- Ability to develop visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Tableau or similar tools.
- Basic statistical concepts including correlation analysis and hypothesis testing.
- Data analysis skills using Advanced Excel, SQL, Hive.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts on Hadoop and Teradata.
- Experience with automation using Python or Alteryx is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate, actionable insights.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Analyze and manipulate large, complex datasets from multiple sources while ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Translate business problems into analytical problems and present actionable insights to decision-makers.
- Develop high-quality reports, dashboards, and visualizations using approved tools (Tableau, PyDash).
- Support automation of repeatable tasks, report generation, and dashboard refreshes.
- Apply continuous improvement (CI) tools and techniques to identify operational improvements.
- Write well-structured, efficient, and reusable code.
- Contribute to the development of knowledge assets, reusable modules, and documentation.
- Think beyond the immediate analysis to provide insights that impact broader business operations.
- Ensure timely and high-quality completion of work deliverables.
- Understand Tesco’s business processes and support key operational decisions.
