CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
AI-Driven Development & Low-Code Solutions
- Use GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and related tools to accelerate software development, workflow automation, and prototyping.
- Build low-code or lightweight applications and integrations that improve legal intake, document routing, knowledge access, and other legal operations workflows.
- Apply AI-assisted development practices while following established engineering standards for quality, testing, and maintainability.
Integration Engineering
- Develop and support integrations using Python, RESTful APIs, and secure data exchange patterns.
- Build reusable integration components for legal technology platforms such as contract lifecycle management, matter management, document management, e-signature, and knowledge systems.
- Help ensure solutions align with enterprise security, privacy, compliance, and data governance requirements, including the handling of sensitive legal information.
Data Management & Governance
- Apply data quality and data hygiene practices to maintain accurate, consistent, and well-governed legal data and metadata across systems.
- Support data mapping, validation, and monitoring efforts that improve search, reporting, automation, and AI-enabled use cases.
Skills Required
Collaboration & Business Alignment
- Partner with Legal, Legal Operations, and technology stakeholders to understand requirements, refine use cases, and implement solutions aligned with business priorities.
- Translate legal workflow requirements into technical designs and deliverables with guidance from senior engineers and product or business leads where appropriate.
- Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, testing, and agile ceremonies to support reliable delivery and adoption.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with emerging AI development tools, integration patterns, and legal technology capabilities relevant to the team.
- Contribute to documentation, peer reviews, and continuous improvement efforts across development and support processes.
