Qualifications
Education:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Accounting.
- CFA / FRM would be added advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
- Experience of 0-2 years in credit/financial data analysis and interpretation; experience in structured finance will be an added advantage
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Good understanding of structured finance and basic capital markets
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to multi-task, manage priorities, and display initiative
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to credit analysis by performing data, analytical, and research services for structured finance ratings.
- Apply Moody’s standards to existing data to produce valuable inputs for ratings and research, including adjusted data, key indicators, ratios, charts, and graphs
- Perform data intake tasks such as scrubbing and validating data for research and ratings
- Review and understand financial reports, official statements, and issuer performance documents
- Collaborate with ratings and support analysts to capture data requirements and adjustments
- Participate in projects or process improvements proactively
- Resolve data point or mapping issues during data intake exercises
- Independently handle straightforward business-as-usual deliverables (e.g., loan pool analysis, CDO data aggregation)
- Provide guidance to junior team members on resolving queries.
