Qualifications

How does a typical day at work look?

Morningstar is looking for Data Analysts, an entry-level opportunity to join our Data and Operations group. This role will help you gain practical experience by working with diverse datasets, including public equity filings, private market transactions, ESG taxonomies, Managed Investment Data (Funds), and reference entity data.

You’ll build your knowledge about investment management, grow your skills in Excel, SQL, and Power BI, and benefit from structured training to support your growth, setting you up for long-term success.

• Search, collect and verify data of basic and intermediate levels of complexity
• Attend to internal/client queries and requests to ensure data captured is aligned with data methodologies and policy guidelines
• Quickly learn our research methods and process standards to ensure productivity, quality, and timeliness
• Collaborate with your team, cross-functional, and external (if required) parties to resolve data issues.
