Responsibilities
- Demand Forecasting: Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant factors to develop accurate demand forecasts.
- Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that impact demand, utilizing tools such as Excel, SQL, Python & Data Science modelling.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain to gather insights, align on forecast assumptions, and communicate demand expectations.
- Forecast Accuracy Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine forecasting models and methodologies to improve forecast accuracy and reduce forecast error.
Skills Required
- Demand Planning Process: Drive the demand planning process from demand review meetings to consensus forecasting, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders and departments.
- Performance Metrics: Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, service levels, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and macroeconomic factors to anticipate changes in demand patterns and adjust forecasts accordingly.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and system enhancements to streamline demand planning processes and improve efficiency.
