Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor of Engineering

Experience: 1 to 4 years

Desired Skills:

• Good exposure to MySQL and writing SQL queries. Should be able to write and understand complex joins.
• Knowledge of scripting language, eg: Python
• Proven success record in a fast-paced production support environment.
• Good in problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills. A successful track record of responding/resolving customer issues through written communication will be a plus.
• Prior experience in e-commerce or web services domain will be a plus.
• Ability to effectively work with a cross-functional team.
• Possess the ability to understand business problems and provide solutions/information related to the business requirements.
• .Programming experience in any language (C++/Java) will be a plus.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Diagnosing, troubleshooting and fixing production software issues and customer escalations.
• Developing and owning monitoring solutions for production and non-production environments and applications.
• Assist in the development of features/enhancements in existing stable systems/components.
• Understanding and working with other internal teams and their systems
• Have an intent to look at tasks from the automation lens, and eventually be capable of writing python script and aggressively automate manual tasks through scripting.
• Provide feedback from customers/users to the team.
• Maintain an on-call runbook, on-going record of problem analysis and resolution activity in an on-call tracking system.
