Qualifications

What you will need

• You have 1+ years of experience with a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, or related fields
• Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and systems architecture
• Familiarity with the following programming languages: Python, Go
• Clear, concise communication and a bias toward ownership and learning.

About the role

• Rippling’s Platform team is building a new Customer Sandbox that lets admins safely try features, validate changes, and reduce production risk.
• As an SE-1 on this team, you’ll ship core services and tools that make the Sandbox fast, reliable, and easy to use.
• You’ll own well-defined components end-to-end, contribute to design discussions, and grow through mentorship from senior engineers.

What you will do

• Build and maintain services/APIs that power the Customer Sandbox (creation, data isolation, reset/refresh, access controls).
• Implement change-sync and push-to-prod workflows that speed up safe releases.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code; add diagnostics and dashboards for reliability.
• Participate in design discussions; turn product requirements into clear technical tasks.
• Improve developer ergonomics: scripts, CI checks, test data, and docs.
• Help monitor, triage, and fix issues in lower environments with guidance from the team.
• Collaborate with product, security, and other platform teams to ship features on time.
