Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related to Data Science or related field
- 2+ years of IT and business/industry work experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Python and building large-scale distributed applications with SQL, DynamoDB, NoSQL and Design Patterns
- Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
- Technical knowledge with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
- Great numerical and analytical skills
- Exposure to AWS Cloud services (such as, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Cloud Trail, CloudFront, Lambda, EKS, and/or ECS)
- Knowledge and skills of using Linux environment
- Requires to be advanced technical and business knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance, project management and other related disciplines/processes
- Excellent knowledge of Object-Oriented systems design and Application Development

This developer position plays a critical role in our journey to modernize the schedule development process in United Cargo. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues, opportunities, or problems in order to maximize the benefit of IT and Business investments.
This role will design, develop, document, test and debug new and existing applications. Additionally, this role will build these applications with a focus on delivering cloud-based solutions. The individual will use groundbreaking technologies and enterprise grade integration software daily and working on different layers of the cloud using AWS services.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Hands-on development, Support and troubleshoot software systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutions
- Ensures that systems are properly integrated
- Works with business, support, or development teams recommending system enhancements
- Develop, test, benchmark, and track the performance of solutions over time
- Consults across multiple United Information Technology projects and technology areas to perform troubleshooting, problem management, root-cause analysis, and solution implementation
- Serves as a resource for technology/project development review and technical assessments
- Ensures that the technical solutions meet the customers’ business goals
- Ensures consistency and coherence to the enterprise standards and guiding principles throughout the application lifecycle
- Identifies opportunities to leverage/influence the direction for existing infrastructure and application components
