Position Summary:-

The Loan Setup Reviewer (LSU) intern will review closed loan file documents to ensure that loans are closed according to approvals, comply with all federal, state, local, and investor requirements, and that data in the Loan Origination System (LOS) matches the mortgage loan documents received from different correspondent lenders.

Qualifications:-

Minimum Bachelor’s degree (any discipline).
Detail-oriented with strong comprehension and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Skills & Competencies:-

Knowledge of loan types and lending guidelines is a plus.
Proficiency with loan management systems or similar software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Adaptability and flexibility in work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:-

Review closed loan documents using the LSU checklist for completeness and data accuracy.
Review all loan types including Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA.
Add suspense conditions in LOS for any deficiencies identified.
Enter and/or update delivery data in LOS.
Maintain general knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA guidelines.
Work with strict timelines and provide timely review responses.
Adapt to shift changes, including potential night shifts.
Communicate clearly in written and verbal form.
Ensure all changes and updates are accurately adopted in the system.
Experience in a production environment is a plus.
