Qualifications
- Should be a DevOps expert with deep AWS knowledge. AWS expertise is a MUST along with automation experience (Shell Scripting, Python, PowerShell, etc.).
- Should have good knowledge on Linux and windows servers.
- Should be capable of deploying infrastructure by utilizing the AWS Cloud Formation technique, Terraform, etc.
- Good exposure of leading DevOps toolset adoption and environment provisioning for on-cloud (AWS).
- Should have hands on exposure to configuring and troubleshooting DevOps toolsets (including equivalent) – GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Kubernetes, docker, Terraform, etc.
- Expertise in designing high performance, highly available, secure, and scalable AWS architectures.
- Adoption of security policies for infrastructure provisioning.
- Expertise of AWS Services including aspects of EC2, VPC, S3, Lambda, EKS, ECS, Fargate, IAM and others.
- Design and development experience with Docker, K8S and Terraform.
- Expertise in designing & implementation of enterprise-grade software architectures, infrastructures, and integration with AWS (or any other cloud solution)
- Experience with Application Monitoring Metrics
- A team player that demonstrates a strong work ethic, creativity, assertiveness, and flexibility.
Other preferred skills:
- Certifications in relevant areas (AWS, K8s, etc.) is a PLUS
- Previous experience as an AWS DevOps consultant / architect will be added advantage.
- Experience with Agile Development methodologies, user stories, acceptance criteria, feature prioritization, and defining product specifications.
- Experience with product development and management in a regulated environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:-
- Working with platform architects, engineering team, and tool experts to understand development methodology and provide a road map for setting up the DevOps pipeline and provision environments.
- Study & Review existing DevOps Processes & Practices.
- To possess each technical commitment and assist in ensuring a suitable and successful delivery of agreed cloud services.
- Suggest changes to existing Processes & Practices based on Industry and AWS best practices.
- Define & Document High level strategy for DevOps, identify gaps in the process of current setup and suggest immediate changes needed for the same.
- Suggest / Recommend Tools and Technologies as per the Industry and AWS best practices to increase productivity & efficiency under the following areas: Designing of DevOps architecture.
- Integration & Deployments (CI/CD)
- Automation
- Monitoring
