Role Overview:-
As a Quality Engineer, you will ensure the highest quality standards by reviewing supplier and internal manufacturing records, identifying quality issues, supporting non-conformance management, and collaborating with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure products meet engineering and customer requirements.
Educational Requirements:-
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)
Key Skills:-
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of engineering practices
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material engineering
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Understanding of supplier manufacturing records
- SAP and ECM knowledge (preferred)
- Quality documentation and inspection
- Non-conformance management
- Process improvement and standardization
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Team collaboration
- Ability to work in a cross-functional environment
Roles & Responsibilities:-
- Perform quality checks on supplier and internal manufacturing records
- Verify products comply with engineering and project requirements before shipment
- Identify and report quality issues and non-conformances
- Create, coordinate, and close non-conformance reports using SAP and Intelex
- Review technical specifications, drawings, and manufacturing documentation
- Support approval of supplier pre-manufacturing records through eSMDR and SAP
- Create and update quality notifications using SAP/ECM
- Coordinate with Supplier Quality, Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project teams
- Assist in resolving quality-related issues
- Participate in process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support engineering requirement reviews and NRB meetings when required
