Required Qualifications:-

Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program in Computer Science, Electronics, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
Specialization in NLP, Machine Learning, AI, or Statistics.
Minimum 1 year of independent research experience in areas such as:
Large Language Models (LLMs)
Entity & Relation Extraction
Zero/Few-shot Learning
Proficiency in Python for algorithm implementation and solution development.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Self-driven and adaptable to ambiguous environments.

Desired Skills & Characteristics:-

Enrolled in a PhD program with 3+ years of research experience.
Hands-on experience in training, fine-tuning, and deploying LLMs.
Publications at top-tier AI conferences or workshops.
Exposure to industrial domain data (Aviation, Energy, Healthcare, Manufacturing).
Strong foundations in algorithm design and implementation across computing architectures.
Knowledge of data analytics, optimization, estimation, or detection algorithms.
Experience with computer vision (preferred, not required).

Key Responsibilities:-

Collaborate with scientists to design and implement algorithms in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning, and AI.
Develop search and recommendation systems to improve engineering team productivity.
Build and optimize data pipelines for aerospace domain data.
Conduct experiments, evaluate results, and document findings (e.g., publications, invention disclosures).
Communicate research outcomes effectively with internal stakeholders.
Address challenges such as domain-specific vocabulary, data quality issues, and regulated workflow integration.

About Job Role:-

Conduct research in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML).
Collaborate with GE Aerospace Research scientists to develop search and recommendation systems that enhance engineering team productivity.
Develop and implement algorithms to process aerospace domain data for recommendation systems.
Design experiments, perform thorough evaluations, and document research outcomes (e.g., publications, invention disclosures).
Communicate findings effectively with relevant stakeholders.
Address unique challenges such as data quality, domain-specific vocabulary, and integration of NLP/LLM-based solutions into safety-critical, regulated workflows and processes.
