Qualifications
Academic Background (for external recruitment): Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or Data Science.
Key Experiences:
- 2+ years of experience in demand plan modelling (time series/statistical/ML).
- 2+ years of experience in Python/PySpark
- 2+years of experience in Azure resources, Snowflake and Databricks.
Main Purpose of Job
- To build models/tools for generating accurate demand forecast. The Jr. Data Scientist will consistently monitor the performance of the model/tool both in terms of productivity and output accuracy and work on enhancing them.
- The Jr. Data Scientist will closely collaborate with demand analysts and demand planners to receive insights that might impact the performance of the demand planning.
Key Outputs
- Develop & sustain models.
- Design and implement continuous improvement actions in the forecasting tool.
- Support the demand analyst at the hub and the demand planning team at the market on performing all required back-testing activities to setup the foecasting tool.
- Partner with the Demand Planner & the Demand Analyst to collect inputs that can increase the accuracy of the demand forecast.
