Role Overview:-
- As a Software Engineer, you will design and develop advanced software for Qualcomm’s mobile chipsets built on cutting-edge technologies.
- This role offers the opportunity to contribute to real-world projects in multimedia, wireless modem, IoT, embedded systems, operating systems, and connectivity solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:-
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Communication Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:-
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Communication Engineering, or ECE (preferred but not mandatory).
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming and object-oriented design.
- Hands-on experience with Linux/UNIX, Linux Kernel, and driver development.
- Knowledge of wireless standards (CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE).
- Familiarity with multimedia frameworks, imaging, audio, video codecs.
- Strong understanding of operating systems concepts and data structures.
- Good grasp of networking protocols (TCP/UDP/IP/SIP/RTP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in team-based environments.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Develop real-time embedded software and device drivers.
- Build and optimize mobile software for Windows Mobile, Android, or Linux platforms.
- Design and develop multimedia technologies including audio, video, and image processing solutions.
- Work on wireless modem technologies such as 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, and Self-Organizing Networks.
- Develop software at the platform level (Linux, Android, Windows, BSP).
- Contribute to IoT technologies for connected devices like smart assistants, drones, cameras, AR/VR systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on large-scale software solutions.
- Apply expertise in data structures, OS concepts, and object-oriented design.
- Work on communication protocols including TCP/UDP/IP/SIP/RTP.
- Participate in software architecture, stack, firmware, and UI development for embedded devices.
