Job Overview:-

Amazon is seeking talented and motivated Software Development Engineers to join the Kindle Reader organization.
In this role, you will innovate on the reading experience across Kindle mobile devices, iOS/Android apps, and E-Reader software for millions of Amazon customers.
You will collaborate with world-class engineers and business leaders, contributing to architecture decisions, UX enhancements, and service integrations to deliver exceptional reader experiences.

Basic Qualifications:-

3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship)
2+ years of design or architecture experience for new or existing systems
Proficiency in at least one programming language
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:-

Experience with full software development life cycle: coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, and operations
Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:-

Design, develop, and maintain high-volume, mission-critical applications for Kindle Reader platforms
Contribute to architecture decisions for cross-platform features and services
Develop backend services for structured annotation sync, handwritten note storage, and data integrity
Collaborate with engineering teams to innovate, scale, and improve Kindle sync architecture
