About the Role:-
- Emerson is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Tax Data Analyst to join our Tax Technology team. In this role, you will leverage advanced data analytics and automation techniques to transform complex financial and transactional datasets into actionable insights that drive enterprise tax operations.
- You will design, develop, and maintain automated data pipelines and dashboards, support tax technology initiatives, and empower tax teams to make informed, data-driven decisions. This role offers a unique opportunity to integrate tax domain expertise with cutting-edge data engineering and analytics in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.
Qualifications:-
- MBA / BCS / BBA / IT or equivalent degree.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in systems and process improvement projects.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 applications including Excel (Power Query, VBA, DAX), SharePoint, Power BI, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
- Hands-on experience with MySQL and Python for data processing and ETL automation.
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles, data warehouse architecture, and best practices.
- Familiarity with enterprise tax systems (OneSource, Vertex, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:-
- Design, implement, and optimize ETL pipelines using Power BI (Power Query, Dataflows) and Python for data extraction, transformation, validation, and integration.
- Develop and automate process improvement initiatives using Microsoft 365 platforms (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Extract, transform, and analyze large-scale datasets from ERP systems, data lakes, and external platforms using SQL and analytics tools.
- Design and maintain dynamic tax dashboards, visualizations, and reports using Excel (Power Query, VBA) and Power BI (DAX, Power BI Service).
- Document and standardize data processes to ensure business continuity and reproducibility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support tax technology solutions and align with compliance requirements.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and formal handovers for newly developed solutions.
- Drive business process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.
