Role Overview:-
- As a Data Analyst at Optum, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure and pipelines that enable analytics, data science, and business intelligence teams to deliver actionable insights.
- You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, secure, and efficient data systems, leveraging the latest technologies and best practices in big data and cloud platforms.
Qualifications & Experience:-
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- 5+ years experience with SQL, Python, PySpark, and/or Scala.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks or similar big data platforms.
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka).
- Experience implementing data governance frameworks and security practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure and pipelines.
- Oversee data collection, transformation, and storage strategies to ensure integrity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with data science, analytics, product management, and IT teams.
- Ensure optimal data pipeline architecture and troubleshoot performance or operational issues.
- Establish processes for data quality, validation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Implement data governance frameworks and security best practices.
